OUR PHILOSOPHY
-
Chess is for everyone. Regardless of age, gender, income, and language.
-
Feedback helps coaches understand each student. For younger players, a teacher must communicate with both the student and their parents. For adults, a teacher raises questions.
-
A systematic approach works best. Students are taught once a week through proven methods that focus on depth, and are assigned homework through the week.
-
Lessons don't have to break the bank.
"Growing up, my mom had trouble finding quality chess coaches at reasonable costs: coaches were either inexpensive and did not teach well, or vice versa. Furthermore, there were language barriers. Chess is a global community: why weren't there qualified coaches that don't break the bank? We decided to make a community of them."
